The Burlington High School Marching Band has been formally invited to perform at Walt Disney World in April of 2010! Officials at Disney Magic Music Days sent Matt Lovell the following communique. Congratulations to all! "Disney Magic Music Days congratulates Burlington High School “Red Devil” Marching Band on being selected to be part of the entertainment at the WALT DISNEY WORLD Resort!"
BELMONT FOOTBALL GAME TONIGHT!
NOTE: Time change to 6:00!! The football game tonight, October 2, 2009, 6:00 pm, is being played in Belmont at Belmont High School. Band students should report to the high school at 4:15. Here are directions to the field: Take 95 south to route 2 east via exit 29A. Take exit 59, route 60 toward Belmont Center/Arlington Center. Stay straight onto Concord Turnpike. Take route 60W ramp toward Belmont Center. Right on Pleasant St, left on Leonard St, left on Concord Ave, high school is at 221 Concord Ave, Belmont.
TICKETS ON SALE FOR GALA BENEFIT CONCERT!!
It is time once again to raise the curtain on the performance stage as the Burlington High School Music Boosters Association sponsors its annual Gala Benefit Concert and Silent Auction. This year’s gala will not only provide funding for many of our worthwhile programs but will also help subsidize the BHS Marching Band’s travel expenses for its performance at WaltDisneyWorld in Florida next April! The event to be held on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 7:30 pm in the Fogelberg Auditorium at the high school. This gala will include favorite Disney tunes by faculty, parents and student talents. A fun and entertaining evening is planned under the guidance of Burlington Music Director Mr. John Middleton-Cox. There will also be a festive dessert reception and silent auction. Get your tickets now from your marching band student! We welcome any silent auction items that you may be willing to donate.

NOTE: website has changed The National Touring production of "The Lion King" is coming to Boston's Opera House and our first fund raiser is to sell tickets with a built-in donation. The performance is on Wed., Feb. 17, 2010 (February school vacation week) at 7:00 pm. Use the following website to purchase your tiekets now by October 28, 2009 (prices: $50, $85, and $100). Don't delay, the seats will sell fast. What a great holiday gift and a wonderful fund raiser for our kids!

SILENT AUCTION ITEMS NEEDED
As part of the November Benefit Concert, we are asking parents to ask friends with businesses for a donation for a Silent Auction item. We are looking for things such as: theme basket, service (e.g., fall yard clean up service, snow removal, house painting, garden service, pet sitting), hair salon, nail salon, massage, restaurant gift certificate.
