DISNEY TRIP IS AT CAPACITY!
Our travel agent made reservations for 96 members of Burlington High School to fly to Disney. We have reached that limit with receipt of our deposits! We are thrilled with the positive response we have had to the trip and look forward to our fund raising and planning stages. Thank you for sending in your deposits in a timely fashion.
FIRST HOME FOOTBALL GAME TONIGHT
The first home football game of the season is tonight, September 19, 2009, at BHS Varsity Field at 7:00 pm.
FUND RAISING PLANS TO BE PRESENTED TO STUDENTS THIS WEEK
We plan to present all fund raising plans to the Marching Band students this week on Tuesday at Band Rehearsal after school. Please look for materials to be coming home with your student. We are ready for the fund raising to begin in many areas, and we hope to see many students working to raise money towards their trip fund, in order to decease the upcoming deposits for the trip. Fund raisers include: Benefit Disney Concert (Sat, Nov 7, 2009); “Lion King” ticket sales (see below); Raffle Calendar; Halloween parade Walk A Thon; Movie Night at BHS auditorium; Concession sales at various events (including football games); “Friends” of the Boosters. "LION KING" TICKETS FOR SALE FROM WEBSITE
The National Touring Company production of "The Lion King" is coming to Boston's Opera House and our first fund raiser is to sell tickets with a built-in donation. We have reserved 50 seats at a group rate for the performance on Wed., Feb. 17, 2010 (February school vacation week) at 7:00 pm. Use the following website to purchase your tiekets now! These tickets will be on sale through October 28, 2009, and they are selling for $50, $85, and $100. Don't delay, the seats will sell fast. What a great holiday gift and a wonderful fund raiser for our kids!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO SELL CONCESSIONS AT HISTORICAL SOCIETY EVENT
As part of our concession sales, we are planning to sell water and popcorn at the Burlington Common for the First Historical Society's Fall Fair, on Saturday, September 26, 10 - 3. Proceeds will be divided among the number of student helpers for their individual Disney Trip funds. If you or your student are interested, please contact Shirley Fong at shirltalk@aol.com
