First Music Boosters General Meeting
Welcome to the parents/guardians of BHS Chorus, Select Chorus, Marching Band, Color Guard and Dance Squad! Our first General Music Boosters Meeting will be Tuesday night, September 8, 7:00 pm in the BHS Band Room. Come hear about the opportunities we have in store for general and directed fundraising, including our annual Benefit Concert, Lion King ticket sales, calendar raffle, walk-a-thon, movie night, and merchandise sales. Rob Giannino, our All Seasons Travel agent, will be present to answer questions about the Marching Band Disney trip.
First Disney Payment Due
Just a reminder that the first payment for the Disney trip is due September 10, 2009. Please mail your check for $300 (made payable to BHS Music Boosters) to Burlington High School Music Boosters Association, PO Box 1052, Burlington, MA 01803.
Looking for Disney Chaperones
Chaperoning the Disney trip can be a wonderful opportunity to share some great memories with your band member. If you decide to do so, please remember to submit your deposit along with you student’s deposit by September 10th. For more information about chaperoning, you may contact Donna Gregorio at burlgregs@yahoo.com.
Welcome Packet
This week we mailed a welcome packet to all BHS music families, including Marching Band, Color Guard, Dance Squad, Chorus, and Select Chorus members. The welcome packet contains a schedule of marching band and chorus events and directions to all of the away games, including the Salem, NH Marching Band Invitational. We also added a volunteer form, as the Boosters are always looking for assistance in many areas. Finally, the welcome packet contains a copy of the BHS Music Boosters Association By-Laws. We hope that you will read it and contact us with any questions you may have.
Game date change
The second football game of the season has been changed from 9/17/09 to 9/19/09 at 7:00 pm. The original date conflicted with the BHS Open House. This is a home game. Pass the word!
Snack Volunteers
Please volunteer to SIGN UP to bring snacks to the games! We need volunteers for many game dates. Please contact Shirley Fong with what you plan to bring and for what game at shirltalk@aol.com
